Health and Nutrition continued...

Hello Class,

Thank you for all your hard work using my webpage on Health and Nutrition last week and a very big thank you for your feedback. It will help me improve the page.


Your task this week is to go to the following page and answer these questions:


  1. How many serves of bread, cereals or potatoes should we eat each day and which is better high or low fibre cereals?

  2. How many serves of meat, fish, eggs, beans or peas should pregnant women eat and is that different to what you should eat?

  3. How many times a month should we eat fried food?

  4. Should young children eat low fat yoghurt and skim milk?

  5. If your physical activity is very high - if you are sportsman or you are training a lot in the gymnasium does this change the amount of food you should eat? If it does what changes?

A: The high fiber cereals and breads are frequently. We should eat 6 servings.
2.How many serves of meat, fish, eggs, beans or peas should pregnant women eat and is that different to what you should eat?
A: The pregnant women should eat 3 servings. We only need to eat 2 servings.
3.How many times a month should we eat fried food?
A: To 4-8 times a month.
4.Should young children eat low fat yoghurt and skim milk?
A: Yes, it is good for teenagers to eat the low fat choices.
5.If your physical activity is very high - if you are sportsman or you are training a lot in the gymnasium does this change the amount of food you should eat? If it does what changes?
A: If our physical activity is very high we need up to 12 servings. It may be necessary.

Yes, they should eat 3 servings during pregnancy.

Less than 6 times a month is appropriate.

It's not true. Young children need more.

You should eat more bread, cereals and potatoes.

2.I think pregnant women have 3 serves and normal people should have 2.
3.I think is 4 to 8 times a months.
4.No, because they need more nutrition.
5.Yes , I think they can eat more.Because they can get more energy and then spend on the sport.

Physical acticity is high, up to 12 servings may be nessessary.

Yes, pregnant women must eat many meat, fish, eggs, beans or peas. Because meat and something has many protein, so that really good for baby or children. Makes bone strong and help to grow. So that meat and something is pregnant women must eat that.

Limit fried foods to 4-8 times a month.

4. Should young children eat low fat yoghurt and skim milk?

Low fat choices frequently, except for young children.

5. If your physical activity is very high - if you are sportsman or you are training a lot in the gymnasium does this change the amount of food you should eat? If it does what changes?

Yes, of course. Actually activity is much more need power or energy than normal people. And food make energy in your body. So to sportsman or someone must be eat more than normal people. And if someone is work on sport and he doesn't eat a lot, he'll become die or fainting. So sportsman has to eat a lot.

Yes, because we should have 2servings.
3. How many times a month should we eat fried food?
1-2 times in a week
4. Should young children eat low fat yoghurt and skim milk?
No, because they needs more nutrition than adult people, because children are in growth heyday.
5. If your physical activity is very high - if you are sportsman or you are training a lot in the gymnasium does this change the amount of food you should eat? If it does what changes?
Yes, if your physical activity is higher than usual people, you have to have foods which have more nutrition. If you didn’t have enough energy then, you would fall down.

1. We need to eat 12 servings each day. High fibre is better.

2. Need 3 servings during pregnancy. Yes, that is.

3. We should eat it 8 times a month.

4. Young children should not eat them.

5. I think so. Sportsman or active person need to take meat or eggs which will be their energies and breads or potatoes more than other people.

Young children should not eat low fat foods frequently. They need full cream varieties for their growing bodies.

I think you should eat more energy food and vegetables.

For high fibre cereals,up to 12 servings may be necessary.but for the other food,I don’t think it need.

Yes, because we should choose any 2 serving.

3. 4 - 8 times a month.

4. No, they should not.

5. Yes, it changes.
When we are exercising, our body burn carbohydrate first and fat later.
So if physical activity is high, we should have carbohydrate up to 12 servings.
